About
Balboa is an eight-piece live band from Eindhoven, performing originals influenced by 70s Afrofunk, bridging afrofunk and jazz with a good dose of hip-hop, for a super-swinging, feel-good vibe made for dancing.
They've shared stages with Dutch jazz icons including Hans Dulfer and Benjamin Herman, and in August 2024 played the Zelenkovac Jazz Festival in Bosnia. Their debut EP arrived in May 2024.
With fresh faces in the band since 2026, Balboa is in its third chapter: back on stage and writing new music.
